It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas..

Well let's face it, it probably will as of next Tuesday. Once Easter's all over bar the pimples, tinsel and Santa snack sacks will start popping up in supermarket aisles quicker than you can say "Xmas in July" !!
OK so maybe I'm ever so slightly exaggerating, but only slightly. The religious versus commercial aspect of this, in itself, makes for debate of Biblical proportions, but for now let's look at the commercial side, ie: The Chocolate Egg (bilby, bunny et al). I don't think I'd even taken the Xmas tree down when the first Easter egg appeared in my local arm of a large supermarket chain.
- Does this drive anyone else just a little bit spare??
- Am I the only one who (adamantly convinced that Easter egg chocolate for some reason tastes even better than regular chocolate) now must deal with temptation for, not just a couple of weeks, but for months ?
- And how many times can you smile and say "not until the Easter Bunny", before giving in at the checkout to the relentless kiddy chorus of "just one little one ......pleeeeeease" ??
Have your say. Vent your feelings.

If people did not buy Christmas items so early the shops would not dedicate valuble floor space to it. Same goes for hot cross buns in January, if they didn't sell they wouldn't make them.

I agree Lisa, we are already being bombarded with Mothers Day ads and thats not till May. I think the years zip by so fast anyway why make it go any faster by throwing stuff in our faces that's months off? I bet we start seeing Christmas stuff by Mid September!

Are you all mad lol. Easter egg chocolate is not nice at all. Give me blocks of chocolate anytime and if the bunny dares drop an egg at my house I will send it to you Lisa.

Why don't normal eggs come rapped in cellophane? Is the Easter Bunny not a clean bunny?

I agree with Marie about the Red Tulip chocolate - but how come you can get cadbury creme eggs all year around??

Do we get extended shopping hours with that?.

Why does easter choco taste better? Can somebody answer that?
Posted by Johnno Wednesday 19 March, 2008 06:18 AM
I'm with you Lisa, Easter Egg chocolate definately tastes better than normal chocolate and have you noticed that you only seem to be able to get Red Tulip chocolate at Easter?!? That's enough reason for me to stock up for the year.
It does feel like there's always something that I should be buying and yet I always get it all too late!
