The Eagles escape penalty

The results from the official report into the West Coast Eagles is in, and the AFL has announced that the club has no case to answer. In light of the Ben Cousins ongoing drama, the issues with Daniel Kerr and Chad Fletcher to name a few, we want to know how you feel about this.
Have your say on the findings:
- Did they get off too light, or do you agree with the result?
- Did they do enough as a club to stop the turmoil?
- Have they redeemed themselves in how they present themselves now?
- Do you have faith in the club?
Tell us about the West Coast Eagles.

Now this has died down a little sensible comments might prevail. Not the whole team but those responsable for allowing Ben to continue without help need punishing because they are partially responsable for loosing that talent. Early intervention would have meant a short time out without the media hype and he would still be playing so yes clubs that know should be held responsible. That is all clubs, now for the controversy there sould be no 3 strike rule the reason, where else can you get 3 chances to commint an offence that is punishable by law and be told that it's ok. Not in rugby or any of the world sports but our primadonnas yes, so it is now also the AFL's responsibility as well.

Isn't it amazing when a WA team has mideamenours it is splashed all over the papers. Are all eastern states teams PERFECT. I think not. Akermanis, Carey, for instance. A puff of hot air and it is gone. What Cousins did, he did to himself. Yes the club may have known about it but at the end of the day it was all Cousins own doing. When he gets over this, will he return to the club that has been is life. Maybe!!!!

They should re name the Eagles as the Knight Riders. They operate above the Law.... only kidding.
I do think that the Eagles management should have acted a lot earlier in the best interests of their players.
It don't entirely blame the players for their drug use.
Someone in the fold or close to it brought the drugs to the circle and something needs to be done to look after the well fare of the players and the greater good of the whole team.

All I know Rob is that for 5 years (min) your club knew about Cousins and Gardiner and Kerr and the drugs stuff, yet did nothing about it... arrogance breeds ignorance. Why do you think Judd left?

Onya, obviously you study football and all its goings on becuase the last time i looked at a football team it took 22 players with 18 on the ground t5o play a game. And in reference to your comment regarding a tainted premiership could you please inform me if Judd, Hunter, Glass, Rosa, Braun etc were under the ifluence of substances. Also those of you who have short memories did not Richmond have a player found guilty and subsequently banned from the then AFL for taking a banned drug. So therefore although the Eagles have had players using shouldn't all teams be tainted with the same brush.

Rob, Sue, whatever....? You Eagles supporters all have your heads stuck in the sand. You won a tainted premiership with a drug addicted ex-captain who escaped the Police booze bus. Congratulations.

to all you people out there who believe that the EAGLES should suffer because of the actions of the few, how ignorant are you; if you were a corporation of multi millions and outside of the public eye would you have to suffer sanctions if half of your employees were drug addicts or even (god forbid)murderers or rapists, the answer is of course no: so please you ignorant buffoons please realise that the majority should not suffer because of the actions of the few.so please lay off the first team to create a true AFL competition.

I'm glad the Eagles have been exonerated. They have been through enough. Now which AFL team is next???!!!!! None??!!! You mean the other teams are perfect. Well, what a surprise!!!!!! Get over it and get on with it. Lets play footy.

Arthur, I couldn't agree more. This arrogant team have got away with too much for too long. Oh well, another let off for the most arrogant team in the country. And that's including Collingwood.

I am a Dockers supporter, either way it is disgusting, I would say the same if the Docker's were in that position. How dare they act this way and get away with it. It can't be allowed to happen again.
