So, Derby 27 is upon us, both teams desperate for four vital points in a tightrope AFL season.
Both teams are playing the mind games:
- The Eagles reckon the Dockers don't respect them
- The Dockers reckon it's just another game of footy
C'mon people. Who's fooling who here?

Stacey on Woody's comment on the Eagles. The Dockers supporters are a lot more one-eyed than the Eagles supporters! And you call the Eagles a bunch of has- beens, Well, at least we HAVE-BEEN the Premiers!!! How many flags have the Dockers won??? A big fat ZERO!!! The Eagles will always be a better side than the Dockers any day!!! GO EAGLES!!!

Once again the media wants to focus on the budgerigars. Trying to find out how the lost the game. Easy, they were beaten by a better team (the Dockers). Lets give the Dockers some credit, instead of finding excuses for the budgies losing. Look at the ladder. Dockers in 9th spot. 1 game out of the 8 and 2 off top spot. Maybe the Budgies corporate sponsers (the West and Chanel 7) should be more impartial.

Eagles have hit rock bottom. They must now "earn" respect and fight there way back to the top. All thanks to "Mr Ben Cuntsins"(yes...the T is meant to be there!!!). Best of luck tho :)

i heard police numbers will be down at subi this year seeing benny cousins isn't playing. Also customs won't be there doing bag searches on eagles players However the ambo's will be there in full force as THE DOCKERS WILL SMASH THOSE EAGLES

There is always gonna be rivalry between the 2 clubs.. It would be nice if the media and the public recognised there are two teams and have been for over 10 years.. Fair go give the Dockers a break, thats what the eagles expect when they have bad publicity !!... Port would feel the same way...
Come on Dockers lets get it together and crush the Beagles (haha) !!

Cumon U Dirty Dockers - There is More to Being an AFL Team than just going all out to Win The Derby - Trying being in the Top Eight instead of only wining the Derby WCE are pround winners of THREE FLAGS AND THE FIRST EVER TO BRING THE FLAG HOME.

So the prima donnas say the dockers don't respect them. Any wonder the way they carry on. Have a look at the last 10 games. Many of there suporters have caught their desease as well. They are not the only team in this town and the sooner the media acknowledge that the better the relations between the clubs, and supporters. I enjoy a good game of footy even if my team (the Dockers) loses. Maybe the Dockers form is John Howards fault as well.

The Dockers should focus more on finishing in the top 8 rather than just trying to win every derby. Maybe it's the Docker's season this year (I say that every year just for a chuckle!)

As a Blues Supporter (and yes if Elton sings that song when he's in Perth, he'll be blue all right) it is my sincere hope that the Eagles and Dockers 'smash' each other to within an inch of their lives. Seriously though, best of luck to the young guns, the new breed. Especially to the Corpus Christi boys Chris Masten and Garrick Ibbotson!!!
